Valuing Women and Children, Creating a Safer Space for All

Image
"Valuing Women and Children, Creating a Safer Space for All" In this day and age, women and children still get abused, harrased, and  killed for no valid reason at all. We still feel the need to protect and teach our children, that leaving your home in the night is still dangerous. This is why it is important to talk about laws that protect women and children, as an act of awareness and protection. Some laws about the protection of women is RA 8353 (The Anti-Rape Law of 1997), RA 7877 (Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995) and RA 11648(an act amending RA 8353 this acts focus on protection of women when faced with any sexual harm. As a woman, and child, I often get scolded by my parents when I get home late. This is because of the danger that a random stranger might hurt me, and worse do something unimaginable. With this laws, I feel rather safer, it does not remove or completely prevent anything bad that could happen to me, but it makes me relieved that if there is a scenario ...

My 2nd Quarter Experience🩷🩷🩷🩷

Durinng this quarter, I have learned many things with my classmates and ma'am Evelyn!!! Our first lesson was about the HTML Tags. We mostly used a hands-on learning setting. Using the computers available we learned how to use different tags that are used in coding and also learned tables. One example for this is the <html> tag used in all coding activities we did, and is vital to every one of them. I also learned that HTML tags aren't case sensitive. So if I accidentally type <HTML> it is still fine. In addition, I also learned that there is no such thing as an </br> tag during one of my exams! Fun right? During the making of the activities called "excer", I mostly struggled with typing. As I am not a fast typer when it comes to different keyboards except my own. The spacing of the computers also made it so that my long arms were uncomfortable during typing. Both of this combined is the reason I am mostly the last one to finish in my group. My group ...

"Kababayan kaya natin to!"    In recent years, the Philippines is one in the many countries which are starting to become victims of Climate Change. This  is because of many factors, but the main reason is our geography. With this, the effects of climate change is undeniably affecting and being seen in the Philippines. An example of this is the recent typhoons that hit most of Luzon. The official typhoon season is around the months of June-September, which was expected to have the most typhoon occurrence, but because of Climate Change. Most typhoons happened on the month of October this year. It affected many, not only agriculture or education, but also livelihood of my fellow countrymen, the Filipinos. Experiencing typhoons is not uncommon in the Philippines, and most of the time people just have fun and ride with it. Resiliency is one of the many things fellow Pilipinos are known for. Who does it the best if not us? From still drinking even with pouring rain falling Pili...
